Condition
The sheet is fully laid down onto the board. There appears to be one historic tear towards the upper part of the right edge, that has been repaired and infilled. There is some very minor rubbing to the extreme corners and further minor roughness to the extreme left and extreme lower edge, only visible upon very close inspection. There is a slight bloom to areas of the black pigment. There is one tiny fleck of loss just to the left of this area. There is a scuff to the left edge just below centre and a further scuff in the upper left quadrant. There are two very small spots of staining, towards the left edge in the centre and in the upper right quadrant. There is some light surface dust and isolated instances of minor studio detritus. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms historic repairs to the tear towards the upper part of the right edge that have been very sensitively executed.
