Condition
The board appears to be sound and all elements of the string appear secure; however, the black thread below the tip of the crane appears a little loose. There are a number of Artist's pinholes to all four edges. There is some minor reticulation and cracking to the cream and light green pigments throughout. There is one small paint loss at the right edge in the centre. There is light surface dirt and detritus throughout. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching, The work is held in a simple coated wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
