Condition
The sheet is adhered to the mount with one strip of adhesive plaster tape in the centre of the left edge. This has resulted in a 5 x 1cm. area of staining on the recto, around the sitter's proper right elbow. There are a number of instances of foxing throughout the sheet, with only one or two tiny flecks visible in the present mount. There is also some time staining around the window of the present mount. Subject to the above, the work appears to be good overall condition, with strong passages of medium throughout. The sheet is window mounted and held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
