Condition

This work was examined in the frame. This work is in good condition overall. The media layer is stable. The work is lightly soiled throughout. On the side titled Formas, three minor pinpoint spots of media loss are present, one at the center left edge, one in the center left quadrant, and one in the central right quadrant. An area of abrasion to the board is present in the center right quadrant, and may be inherent to the support selected by the artist. A pinpoint pink spot accretion is present in the upper left quadrant, in the shoulders of the figure. On the side titled Landscape, two spots of white accretion measuring each 1/2 inch in diameter are present in the center left quadrant, on the brown and red buildings. Under raking light examination, two horizontal lines of accretion become apparent, measuring one and four inches in length in the lower center quadrant of the work. Two pinpoint spots of media loss are present in the upper left quadrant, at the edges of the roofs of the buildlings.
