each modeled and brightly enameled with the animal seated on a rectangular plinth, its face turned to one side with the jaws open in a grimace, a hexagonal column rising from the creature's back to support the joss stick

Condition

One has a broken section at the top of the joss stick column (total area approx. 1.8 x 3 cm), re-stuck with tape. The other has professional restoration to the top of the joss stick column and the neighboring tufts of mane. Otherwise, both have only minor expected surface wear and minor firing imperfections.
