the sixteen plate hoshi bachi, eight gilt shinodare, riveted mabisashi [peak], six-tier itazane shikoro [neckguard] with sugake-odoshi lacing, the fukigaeshi [turnbacks] with applied kikyo mon all lacquered black Accompanied by a certificate of registration Juyo Token [Important Armour] by the Nihon Kacchu Bugu Kenkyu Hozon-kai [the Association for the Research and Preservation of Japanese Helmets and Armour].

The helmet bowl has some surface wear, minor chips to the lacquer and a few small black lacquer repairs. The silk lacing to the shikiro is frayed in places, the turnbacks have some old damage to the lacquer, the underside of the shikiro has some lacquer repairs. Please note all armours by the nature of their use and age have some old wear overall.
