描述

Sugata [configuration]: A slender tachi sugata, hon-zukuri with iori-mune and ko-kissaki, deep tori-zori, iori-mune Kitae [forging pattern]: Mokume, itame hada, wide midare-utsuri Hamon [tempering pattern]: Notare midare in niori, narrow at either end but becoming wider in the middle of the blade Boshi [tip]: Narrow boshi with small kaeri Nakago [tang]: Ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana, some machi-okuri, kiri-jiri, signed Tachi Mei Sadatsuna In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard] Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 75.5 cm, 29 2/3  in.Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 1.1 cm,  3/7  inMoto-haba [width at the machi]: 3 cm, 1 2/11  in. Accompanied by a certificate of registration as Juyo Token [Important Sword] and identifying the blade as Ko Hoki School, no. 14200248 issued by the Nihon Bijitsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword], dated Heisei 14 (2002).

Condition

The sword has a modern shira-saya (with an extensive saya-gaki). The blade is in good condition, with a recent polish. The jihada is quite prominent. The graceful shape is maintained.
