Sugata [configuration]: Shinogi-zukuri, ko-kissaki, tori-zori, iori-mune Kitae [forging pattern]: A tight itame-hada with some mokume and masame in places Hamon [tempering pattern]: Nioi-deki, notare-midare with sunagaeshi and ashi Boshi [tip]: Ko-maru with short kaeri Nakago [tang]: O-suriage with 4 mekugi-ana, kiri-jiri and machi-okuri, mumei In shirasaya [plain wood scabbard] Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 69.2 cm, 27 1/4  in.Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 1.9 cm, 3/4  in.Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 2.5 cm, 1 in. Accompanied by a certificate of registration as Tokubetsu Hozon Token [Sword Worthy of Preserving], no. 150568 issued by the Nihon Bijitsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword], dated Heisei 17 (2005).

Condition

The blade is in good condition, in a new shira-saya and recently polished. The hamon and jihada are quite clear and the overall sugata is strong.
