The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals two old areas of retouching towards the left of the sky and further scattered spots of retouching, most notably in the upper right and lower left quadrants. The canvas has a vertical join running through the centre left of the composition. There is some minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges which are not visible when framed. This work is in overall good condition.
