元/明初 漆金木菩薩坐像

seated in dhayanasana, with left hand in bhumisparsamudra, the right hand held in abhayamudra, wearing a loose robe tied at the waist, the face with meditative expression, traces of gilt decoration, wood stand 

Both hands are broken off and re-stuck on with associated areas of losses to the joint, one finger is missing from the left hand and another half finger is broken off and missing from the right hand, there are numerous small losses including the top of the hair and a large chip at the back of the neck, measuring approximately 5cm. wide with associated cracks. There are cracks and losses to gilt throughout, and a section the base is missing.
