of irregular form with a gnarled and slightly twisted body, carved in openwork with a continuous landscape of cliff views, depicting a sage followed by his attendant passing below overhanging rocks, admiring the waterfalls and resting under the pine tree, the wood richly patinated to a light brown colour

  

This brushpot is in good condition but does have some very minor splits and losses to the rim.
