the rounded sides rising from a spreading foot to a waisted neck and everted rim, richly applied on the exterior with a deep copper-red glaze, the base with a seal mark in underglaze blue
Condition
The vase is in good condition with the exception of a 5cm., hairline rim crack and an associated 2cm., wide band of restoration to the interior of the neck and light glaze scratches.

本瓶紅釉鮮艷，色澤均勻，與瓶身線條相得益彰。銅紅嬌溫，以其發色極難拿捏著稱，窰燒時稍有不穩即前功盡棄。清初景德鎮御窰技術發展長足，至乾隆一朝，瓷匠已調得佳色，復燒銅紅，以製各式瓷器，色澤明艷潤澤，更勝前朝。 如本品之紅釉器，見於世界各地重要博物館及私人收藏，一例曾展於《中國明清美術展目錄》，東京國立博物館，東京，1963年，編號440，南京博物院收藏一例，載於《中國清代官窰瓷器》，上海，2003年，圖版346；另比一例，出自松竹堂收藏，兩度售於紐約蘇富比，先後為2003年9月17日，編號100及2015年9月15日，編號85；第四例出自Duke of Fife and Bulgari收藏，售於紐約蘇富比2011年9月14日，編號213。此外可比帶乾隆款作例數件，其一出自Gordon收藏，售於紐約佳士得2011年3月24日，編號1144；其二售於倫敦蘇富比1996年12月17日，編號134，後易手於香港蘇富比2017年10月3日，編號3654。
