Condition

Overall in very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. The surfaces of the frame have been professionally and sensitively refreshed and present with minor scattered scuffs and surface scratches concentrated to the bases of the legs and outside edges. The top of the backrest with minor scuffing and shallow indentation. The rear proper right joint between the seat frame and leg with an area of restoration measuring approximately 1/2 x 1 inch and appears stable. The front proper right frame directly behind the front leg with an area of professional and sensitive repair measuring approximately 1/4 x 2 inch, not visually disruptive. The seams of the frame with areas of older infill, not visually disruptive. The original upholstery presents with scattered dirt, evidence of wear and fading concentrated to the back of the chair, all consistent with age. A fine example of French Art Nouveau.
