SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BROOCH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Designed as a fleur-de-lis, set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, centring on three oval sapphires, the reverse with the interlocked initials CA millegrain-set with single-cut diamonds, and a crown motif set with cushion-shaped diamonds and cabochon sapphires.

Sapphires mid to deep blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some areas of minor chipping and wear to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, mixed colour and clarity grades, estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.00 - 7.00 carats. Light scratches to stone and metal surfaces consistent with wear, discoloration and tarnish to metal consistent with age. Brooch pin slightly bent, with some movement, closing securely. Overall in good condition. Overall dimensions approximately 57 x 45mm, gross weight approximately 26.4 grams. Accompanied by a case.
