Set with an oval sapphire, within a foliate surround, supporting an articulated laurel festoon, millegrain-set throughout with cushion-shaped diamonds, composite.

Sapphire deep blue, measuring approximately 9.9 x 8.9 x 5.5mm, calculated to weigh approximately 4.40 carats, with typical colour zoning visible to the naked eye and typical inclusions visible under magnification, some areas of very minor chipping to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, mixed colours and clarities, estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.00 - 5.00 carats. Pin fitting possibly later, in good working order, closing securely, some evidence of solder repair and associated discolouration to metal. Scratches to metal and sapphire surfaces consistent with age and wear. Overall dimensions approximately 60 x 41mm, gross weight approximately 19.7 grams.
