Set with a cameo depicting Minerva, within a later foliate surround applied with black and white enamel.

Condition

Agate white to beige, translucent to opaque, with typical banded structure visible. Cameo carving in good condition, some small areas of very minor chipping to edges, mostly around lower edge of robe. Small area of background layer to back of figure's head broken and restored, with one very small area of loss and evidence of glue residue. Cracks to reverse, not showing through carving. Light scratches to stone surfaces. Mount possibly later, with detachable pendant fitting. Enamel in good condition, with some minor chipping to pendant fitting and tips of foliate border. Light scratches to surfaces consistent with age and wear. Overall in good condition. Cameo measures approximately 23 x 17.5mm, overall measurements approximately 48 x 27mm including border and pendant fitting. Gross weight approximately 17.6 grams.
