EMERALD AND DIAMOND PENDANT, 1920S AND LATER

Set with a sugarloaf cabochon emerald within an oval plaque with stylised foliate motifs, pavé-set with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds with millegrain borders, one diamond deficient.

Accompanied by GCS report no. 77116-74, stating that the emerald measuring approximately 11.3 x 10.6 x 6.4mm, calculated to weigh approximately 5.6 carats, is of Colombian origin, with indications of minor clarity enhancement. Emerald mid-green, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface-reaching, some areas of very minor chipping to surface. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated to be approximately H-I colour, SI clarity on average, estimated total diamond weight approximately 6.00 - 8.00 carats. Areas of discolouration to metal mount, some traces of solder repair to the reverse. Pendant fitting detachable, in good working order. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Overall dimensions approximately 58 x 29mm.
