with six agate medallions, surmonted by an agate stag and on four agate ball feet

Condition

Overall good condition with minor surface dirt and wear to the gilding consistent with age and handling. There are a few chips to the agate stag with inclusions consistent with the material. The hinge of the lid is slightly loose. There are a few scratches to the agate medallions in some places and dents to the edges of the gilt-bronze casket consistent with handling. The muzzle of the dear and the four agate ball feet appear to be later replacements. The key is missing.
