In this scene Majnun visits Layla after having been in the desert. Layla is seated on a chair with lion-head arm-rests, wearing a flower crown and holding a book. Her appearance is very European in style, reminiscient an early seventeenth-century scene by Manohar published in Soustiel 1986, p.19.
