the surface decorated with mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell, with foliate and geometric design, the hinged raised lid opening to reveal an interior set with a mirror on a backdrop featuring flowers composed of cut-paper, three small drawers on the front, the interior lined with a thin textile, on four tall feet

Condition
Most of the surface decoration intact, with some wear to the extremities and few sections of the mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshellmissing, some have been consolidated, the reverse with some abrasions, front right leg broken and restored, the interior worn and would benefit from further cleaning and restoration, with three lock plates, which are oxidised and detached, as viewed.
