Intact, the glaze strong, very minor hairline scratches and abrasion to centre, exterior of rim with minor chips and associated overpainting, exterior with hairline craquelure to glaze, set in custom metal mount for hanging, as viewed.

This dish, with its exceptional and dense floral designs, belongs to a group whose decoration is described by Yolande Crowe as "luscious flowers" (Similar examples are illustrated in Y. Crowe, Persia and China: Safavid blue and white ceramics in the Victoria and Albert Museum, 1501-1738, London, 2002, pp.228-9, nos.391 and 392).
