Condition
This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There are some moisture halos along the left lower edge, lower left edge and by the lower right corner. There are two pin-holes towards the right upper margin. The uneven layer on the right half of the painting is due to the materials and the media chosen by the artist.

Gaia Lisa Tacchi, marzo 2018
“This is an archetypal example Cesare Tacchi’s artistic production: it represents the first work in the series ‘How soft your skin is’, a theme on which the artist has worked numerous times, taken from an advert of that era. The work, executed in 1965, was exhibited in the artist’s first solo show in March of the same year at Plinio Martiis’ Galleria La Tartaruga in Piazza del Popolo, Rome. It was the first time Cesare Tacchi had showed his ‘wallpapers’, the shaped canvases and the works on padded fabric. ‘How soft your skin is’ appears in a photo-portrait of the artist, taken by Plinio de Martiis on the occasion of the exhibition opening.”
