It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a few small spots of retouching in places, predominately to the woman and there is a small area (approx. 6 cm wide) of retouching towards the lower right corner. There are lines of craquelure in places, predominately to the most thickly applied pigment. There is some frame rubbing to the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
