Condition
Overall in good original condition. The painted metal surfaces with scattered scratches, losses to the paint, and oxidation throughout, consistent with age and use and as partially visible in the catalogue illustration. The shade with a few paint runs throughout, not visually distracting. The inside of the shade retains the original enamel and with some minor scratches concentrated to the edges. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the functionality and/or the voltage compatibility for electrical wiring, and suggests having all electrical components inspected by a licensed electrician. A wonderful example of French modernist design.
