Condition

Overall good condition. When viewed in person, the verre elgomise presents with incredible variation and nuance that beautifully complements the strongly geometric form. The glass tiles with scattered minor edge chips consistent with age and use, not visually detractive. Two glass tiles on the table top each with tight hairline cracks, the larger measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches long, both stable. Four glass tiles on the lateral surface of the table top with cracks, a few with some associated losses to the glass. One corner with a small chip on the upper edge measuring approximately 1/2 x 1/4 inch. Another corner with two small losses: one to the upper corner measuring approximately 1/2 x 1/2 inch; the other to the bottom corner measuring approximately 1/4 x 1/2 inch. A third corner with a small chip to the bottom edge measuring approximately 1/4 x 1/2 inch. The lower edge of the tabletop along one of the longer sides with a small thin chip measuring approximately 1 inch long. The verre elgomise with scattered discolorations consistent with the natural aging of the material, which imparts the piece with great visual interest. Several of the tiles with circular discolorations possibly from the tiles being adhered to the table top. With a few occasional instances of loss to the verre elgomise surface, the largest on one of the central tiles of the tabletop measuring approximately 1 x 1 inch. An incredibly chic and functional design.
