Condition

Overall good condition. The parchment presents with a few small tears: two on the lower part of the proper right side, one measuring approximately 1 inch diameter and the other measuring approximately 1 x ¼ inch. With another small tear to the front proper right side, close to the lower drawer, measuring approximately ½ inch diameter. Some extremely minute tears, slight lifting and wear all along the lower edge of the proper right side. A parchment element is lifting to the lower edge of the front. Some light soiling to the lower quadrant of the chest and to the left side, consistent with age and use. With two areas of adhesive residue, one on the proper right side of the chest measuring approximately 6 x ½ inches. and the other on the proper left side of the chest measuring approximately 6 x 1 ½ inches. Some black stains to the bottom edge of the cabinet on the proper left side. Small remnants of a paper label on the proper left side. The parchment with some cracks on the upper edges of the cabinet sides have been previously stabilized. The top is slightly dry with a few cracks and a few stains. The bronze elements with occasional light surface scratches and light wear to the patina along some of the edges. A playful and functional design.
