Condition
Both canvases are original and have not been lined. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals one small spot of retouching in the background of the male portrait and in his left sleeve, possibly addressing some flaking. Scattered spots of cosmetic retouching are visible in the female's right shoulder, in her face and hair. Other spots of small retouching are also visible around the framing edges. Otherwise, both works present well and are overall in good condition. Both presented in simple gilt frames.
