Condition
The board is flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals areas of uneven fluorescence due to old residual varnish which make the surface quite difficult to read. However, with the exception of some very finely applied in-painting addressing some craquelure in the centre of the upper framing edge, there is no other visible sign of retouching. This work appears to be in very good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a gilt frame.
