the flattened baluster body rising from a stepped foot to a waisted neck and everted rim, flanked by a pair of C-scroll handles, the exterior carved in low relief with stylised taotie masks between key-fret bands at the rim and foot, set on a rockwork base issuing sprigs of lingzhi, the stone of a pale celadon tone with russet inclusions

The vase is in very good condition with the exception of minute nibbling along the rims. The cover with some light bruises along the rim and possibly one corner lightly polished.
