Though perhaps slightly looser in its handling, this drawing can be compared with the signed drawing by Floris depicting 'A group of men in antique costume', in Munich.1 It is completely unrelated in terms of style and date to the work of Caspar Luyken, to whom it was attributed in the 1979 Cornell exhibition catalogue.
