Condition

The canvas has an old glue lining and the paint surface is a little dirty but presents a clear image beneath an old yellowed varnish. There are two small losses in the lower right corner (impeding a clear reading of the date) and at lower center. There is some discoloring at the edges, likely due to old frame abrasion.Inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded due to the milky varnish. The painting would benefit from a light clean and revarnish. Offered in a decoratively carved gilt wood frame.
