Condition

The canvas appears to be lined. Underneath a dirty varnish an elaborate scene reads well, with much of the details on the paint surface well preserved. There appears to be a very small cleaning test on the far right edge, a little higher than the center. Very minor pigment loss are scattered along the corners and edges, possibly due to frame rubbing. There is possible old repairs present to the sky at upper left, and some old retouching at bottom left, on the water by the boats docked on the port. These fluoresce under the inspection of UV, though further reading is impeded due to the old varnish. The painting is offered in a gilded wood frame.
