The work is in its original condition, there are some visible scratch with print pigment loss on the lower and top area.

《蟪蛄愛草綠》具藝術家題款，「晴嵐先生」之身份待考，「丁未夏」即說明本品創作於1967年夏天。本作採用對角線式構圖，荻草自右下方伸延而出，最長一條遒勁有力，巧妙形成山丘狀線條，停擱著休憩中的蜻蜓，在煙水迷離的背景襯托下，更添矇矓詩意；按莊靈老師分析，背景之雲霧與前景的焦點有所不同，應是以「集錦」技法重疊底片構成。
