In the present series of works, Malaysian artist Ivan Lam has painted layer upon layer a chromatic grid that appears as though it was a printed pattern. Lam seeks to push the limits of his technique by creating works that blur the lines between the man-made and the machine-made. The push and pull between these poles is carried through to his later work in various forms.
