七○年代，丁雄泉以豐沛的創作經歷與嫻熟的創作技巧完成了多幅以西方美女為題材之壓克力畫布作品。他所描繪的女性姿態撩人，而不同於西方裸女的豐腴性感，丁雄泉筆下的裸女在情色中亦透露出東方內斂纖細的仕女之感，融合中西對女體的想像，給予觀者十足的感官聲色。《枕邊語》（拍品編號5003）與《持扇仕女》（拍品編號5035）中對比鮮明的亮麗色彩，描繪裸女的橫臥姿態，身軀線條優雅而流暢，並覆以如波洛克行動繪畫般的奔放線條，生動且繽紛的寫出女體嫵媚、慵懶、自在、又隱現挑逗的身姿神態；油彩層層堆疊，形成不可預測的效果，這種鮮豔的滴彩處理和色彩堆疊成為丁雄泉獨特的技法，表現出丁氏好友皮埃爾．阿列欽斯基所寫：「(丁雄泉)鐘愛色彩飛濺，因為它們正是現實中的花朵。他畫法流動，其後無所留痕，除了花朵，事實上就是那些色彩飛濺的痕跡。」七○年代作品中，藝術家延續早期的抽象風格，揮灑顏料於畫面中，卻不給人刺眼或雜亂之感，他以直覺傾瀉心情，將活潑且豐沛的情感投射於畫布，彷如把自己的喜怒哀樂都寄託到畫中女體，藉由其大膽的肢體語言，抒發和解放其內心的慾望。
