In good condition with gentle wear and scratching, commensurate with age. Minor areas of gold solder to the mounts of several carved colored stones, possibly from the time of manufacture, and a touch of lead solder to the top carved emerald; seen only under magnification and from the reverse. The medium-deep purplish red rubies, medium blue sapphires (with notable but attractive color zoning) and medium slightly bluish green emeralds are heavily included with surface-reaching inclusions as typically found in carved material. Some of the colored stones are beads, and a diamond has been placed in the drill hole of one fluted emerald bead. The drill holes to the second fluted emerald bead and the single ruby bead are intentionally without diamonds. The diamonds are predominantly G-J color, VS-SI clarity, with the occasional I clarity example. Signature located at the base. Length approximately 2 5/8 inches.
