Accompanied by SSEF report no. 91478, stating that the cabochon rubies weighing from approximately 1.5 to 1.7 carats, measuring from approximately 6.90 x 5.65 x 3.75mm to approximately 7.20 x 5.80 x 4.10mm, calculated to weigh a total of approximately 70 carats, are of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, with none to a moderate amount of oil in fissures. Rubies well matched in colour, red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface-reaching, scratches, small nicks, chips and cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 11.00 - 12.00 carats, on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, few I, as gauged and graded in the mount. Clasp secure, safety catches, additional collapsible safety pins. Little signs of wear and scratches to the metal, minor signs of tarnish to the reverse. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 75 grams.

1925年，巴黎〈現代裝飾及工業藝術國際展覽〉上推廣的創意風格珠寶被後世稱為「裝飾藝術」風格，「裝飾藝術」一詞為是次展覽名稱的簡稱。這些「現代」珠寶以線性設計及洋溢自然氣息的裝飾元素為基礎，再飾以顏色對比鮮明的寶石。寶格麗一直與時並進，走在珠寶設計的最前端。珠寶設計在一九二〇年代後期變得更重更大，寶格麗其時的設計正正符合這種風格，辨識度甚高，其中一種經常出現的設計為鑲蛋面彩色寶石，一如本拍品。
