finely potted, the tall cylindrical body rising to a gently sloping shoulder and short cylindrical neck, surmounted by a slightly domed cylindrical cover with bud finial, the body exceptionally well painted in deep tones of underglaze blue with two five-clawed dragons, one ascending and the other descending amidst scattered cloud scrolls and above a band of crashing waves encircling the base, all below a band of overlapping leaves at the shoulder, the upper surface of the cover painted with three cloud scrolls, with a spiral band to the cylindrical sides, the base with a six-character seal mark within a double-circle, wood stand (3)

Insley Blair (1870-1939) 與夫人 Natalie Bennet Knowlton (1883-1951) 是二十世紀初美國最為知名的中國陶瓷收藏家之一。其收藏主要方向為清初單色釉及青花瓷，尤其側重中小品，以便裝飾其位於紐約 Tuxedo Park 新詹姆斯風格的宅邸 - Blairhame。Natalie Blair 於1925年將二人藏品編撰製作成了私人收藏圖錄，時共印製了四本。

In excellent condition. The vessel with only several very light scattered surface scratches and several minute pin pricks to the glaze, including one to the double-line border at the rim of the mouth. The blue fired to an even dark-blue cobalt tone and the porcelain body of a whiter and brighter color than as shown in the catalogue image. The cover with the tip of the finial polished.

御用茶器：

清雍正青花海水雲龍紋大茶葉瓶

本品器形，簡潔素雅，小口短頸，圓肩筒身，為雍正為雍正朝創新之品，符合當朝皇帝清雅品味。雍正一朝製瓷，多鑒明瓷之式，再結合本朝製瓷工藝及皇帝之藝術情趣，故佳器屢出，既有獨創新例，亦有典雅名器。此外，器俱反映時人飲食習慣，例如本品瓶，則與儲茶及品茶相關。

明洪武二十四年，太祖下詔，福建省建安罷造團茶，改貢葉茶。自此飲茶方式改為沖泡，茶器亦隨之而變，如茶壺及茶罐取代傳統茶磨、茶羅、竹茶筅、茶匙等具。明人喫茶習俗流傳至清代，茶器變化無多，但康雍乾三朝瓷業大興，以致茶具器形及造型屢有創新。

可參考一相類蓋瓶例，北京故宮博物院收藏，載於《故宮博物院藏清代御窯瓷器》，卷1（下），北京，2005年，圖版39（圖一）。再比較一件蓋罐，器形與本品相同而稍高，飾花果紋，現存台北國立故宮博物院，展於《也可以清心：茶器．茶事．茶畫》，國立故宮博物院，台北，2002年，編號121。另一件現存北京故宮博物院，刊於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品大系·青花釉里紅（下）》，上海，2000年，圖版104。同類瓶亦可參考青釉例，頸部稍長，帶拱形蓋，其中一例曾展於台北國立故宮博物院，同上，編號122。第二例藏南京博物院，見《宮廷珍藏·中國清代官窯瓷器》，上海，2003年，頁192。第三例曾售於香港蘇富比2006年4月10日，編號1618，現於本場拍賣（編號518）上拍。北京故宮博物院藏一短頸無蓋青釉例，見《故宮博物院藏古陶瓷資料選萃》，卷2，北京，2005年，圖版166。另一例為 Angela Ciccio Schirone 舊藏，售於紐約蘇富比2014年3月18至19日，編號451。

可比較一件雍正茶瓶連蓋例，器形與本品相近，但器身較矮，繪青花仿古龍紋，現藏台北國立故宮博物院，錄於該館展覽《芳茗遠播·亞洲茶文化展》，台北，2015年，編號I-56，同載一件瓶例，繪花卉紋，及兩宜興紫砂例，圖1及2。

台北國立故宮博物院另藏一件宣德青花茶罐，鼓腹，圈足，足外撇，帶蓮苞鈕蓋，錄於上述展覽，編號I-40，文中記，此類茶罐明代文獻並無記載，而至清代則常與其他茶器同見，詳見頁111。該圖錄同載《乾隆帝雪景行樂圖》，北京故宮博物院藏，畫中可見宮人用各式茶器泡製「三清茶」，其中一件茶罐與上述宣德例頗為相近。

本品所飾龍紋為明代式樣，以素白為地，間飾雲紋或卷紋，此圖案紋飾應始於宣德年間，而後漸興。可參考一宣德梅瓶例，展於《景德鎮珠山出土永樂宣德官窰瓷器展覽》，香港藝術館，香港，1989年，編號88。另見兩萬曆梅瓶例，現藏上海博物館，見陸明華，《明代官窯瓷器》，上海，2007年，圖版3-97及3-98。另一例售倫敦蘇富比2015年5月13日，編號118。再見一康熙蓋罐例，藏北京故宮博物院，載《故宮博物院清代御窯瓷器》，卷1（上），北京，2005年，圖版45。
