註：本幅取題自〈南史．張緒傳〉。南齊張緒，言談清新，吐納風流，為時人所重，後取「張緒風流」借喻細柳輕垂，枝條柔弱，隨風飄盪，以柳喻人，自成典故。大千遂以高士入畫，細髮繋巾，眉目清秀，修長玉立，袖長舒展，迎風搖曳；上有橫枝伸出，疏柳下垂，兩者共置，用筆簡練，線條飄逸，墨色淺淡，切合題詩「張緒是當年」典故。畫上紀年「己丑閏七月」，即一九四九年八月底至九月，畫家避地香江數月，已屆動身返蜀之時，寫此有贈友誌念之意。
