註：吳湖帆喜倚聲，曾得朱彊邨指點，往來者不乏吳瞿安、冒鶴亭、葉遐庵等詞家，其詞作編入〈佞宋詞痕〉刊行。他以宋詞入閒章，取詞意入畫，亦選前人或自作詞題跋書畫。〈醜簃日記〉一九三一年春所記，湖帆與吳梅往還頻仍，詞學交流甚多。本幅寫於此時，以宋人白描法入畫，淨墨雙鉤，循柳永「楊柳岸，曉風殘月……千種風情，更與何人說」詞意入圖，波磔畫柳之參差柔軟，如待折取；勁爽畫草之細瘦搖曳，似見輕碧；復添晴波一頃，風細細，波紋皺，輕描淡寫間，道盡屯田詞中情意。
