註：魯蕩平，字若衡，湖南長沙人。早歲投身革命，入民國，為政湘、津、魯、贛多地，復參加北伐及抗戰，歷任中央日報社長、北平民國大學校長及湖南省教育廳長。四九年後隨國民政府渡台，任國民大會代表及立法委員，他嗜文藝，好書法，本聯乃其自撰，引佛家哲理以抒己懷，亦為處世之道。其聯語頗得時譽，五八年獲南社舊友及政壇摯交于右任引錄聯上。
