Good condition, with just insignificant bruises to the rim and footring and other general characteristic surface wear.

此器盃壁輕薄、胎色深沉、釉層厚潤、開片纖細，乃南宋龍泉窰摹擬官窰佳器，為供御所製。匠人或向杭州老虎洞官窰借鑑，疊施青釉，多次燒造，既成，又得嚴控冷卻，方得玉色厚釉、片紋細膩如斯。
朱伯謙曾就此作詳細討論，提出這類龍泉青釉器可依其胎釉分成兩類，胎色深、釉料厚者為一類，胎呈淺灰者又為一類，見《龍泉窰青瓷》，台北，1998年，頁37-39，同書並載浙江湖州出土兩只圓形小盃，胎色深，釉開片，圖版141及142。另一胎土深色之盃，1990年12月11日在倫敦蘇富比拍出，編號234。Falk 收藏另有一例，售於紐約佳士得2001年9月20日，編號111。老虎洞發掘出一官窰盃，上施泛藍厚釉，與此相類，可資比較，圖見《杭州老虎洞窰址瓷器精選》，北京，2002年，圖版124。

此盃菊瓣之式，秀逸雅致，乃龍泉窰常見，惟青釉多乏片紋，例見北京故宮博物院藏龍泉青釉盃，收錄在《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集．兩宋瓷器（下）》，香港，1996年，圖版145。另有一盃，載於 Bo Gyllensvard，〈Recent finds of Chinese Ceramics at Fostat II〉，《BMFEA》，卷47， 1975年，圖版19，編號1。
