此幅水墨長卷作於2011年,融合了李津最具標誌性的圖像元素、主題與藝術風格,堪比其藝術生涯的縮影。傳統手卷具有故事性及敍述性的特點,這讓李津得以依次展現七個不同場景,包括他遊歷海外的經歷、對中國往事的懷舊之情、以及他與愛人摯友的愉快回憶。李津的自畫像在畫中以不同服飾反覆出現,有如莎翁筆下的福斯泰夫,不僅作為視覺線索貫穿畫面當中,更代表了他本人潛意識中模糊不清、甚或支離破碎的舊時記憶。1
整幅長卷的第一個場景描繪了兩位坐著的男子雙眼圓睜,定睛直視裸女雙乳,而女子的表情則冷淡茫然,抽離而空洞。這一充滿戲劇性的開端過後,隨後的五個場景好似向觀者呈獻了一場盛大的歌劇,融合了中國革命歷史的經典元素,其中包括六、七十年代的經典中山裝;身著灰藍色制服、佩戴紅袖章的紅色娘子軍;七十年代風靡中國的南斯拉夫電影中常見的飛行員帽子與風鏡;墨綠色的中國人民解放軍第一代制服;代表文革時期紅衛兵的紅纓槍及紅領巾;以及抗日戰爭時期的日本皇軍制服。對於像李津這樣出生於五十年代末的一代人而言,這些經典紅色主題是構成他們童年回憶的重要部分,伴隨他們成長,並深深烙印在記憶之中,不斷迴響。畫中亦穿插著身穿奇異服飾的外國人和享受盛宴的人群,源自李津海外遊歷的經歷,及其與好友同樂的珍貴回憶。卷軸以一幅沐浴圖結尾,李津與豐滿美女同坐浴缸之中,在享用海鮮與美酒的同時靜觀眼前這場跌宕起伏的歌劇,陷入沉思,仿佛在回憶的碎片之中重新尋找真我。
李津1958年生於天津,畢業於天津美術學院,目前為該院國畫系副教授。憑藉功底深厚的傳統技法,他於九十年代逐形成以詼諧有趣而著稱的獨特藝術風格,並成為新文人畫派的代表人物。李津在他的藝術創作中尋求「鮮活」二字,透過細緻筆觸與明豔色彩,挖掘日常生活中純粹而簡單的喜悅。如他所說:「不管發生什麽樣的變化,我會始終用最傳統的工具來關注身邊的生活,這對我來說是非常愉快的事情。」2
