款識：嘉靖丁未（1547）夏日避暑縹緲峰山堂，閒適漫興，追仿荊關筆法。包山子陸治。鈐印：陸生叔平、包山子
題詩堂：（馬鑑）明代山水畫有浙派、吳派之分。浙派以劉、李、馬、夏為宗，而吳派則上師摩詰以及荊、關、董、巨、二米，下法子昂、黃、王、吳、倪諸家，南北分途自成壁壘。卒之，吳派獨佔藝壇，時論遂尚南而貶北。包山，吳人，甞游吳門祝、文二氏之門，其畫法近於吳派。然其為人倜儻，於丹青之學務出其胸中奇氣，以與古人角，不以成法自囿。此畫取法荊關，上突巍峯，下瞰窮谷，自是關家山水之意境。而其皴法瘦硬如屈鐵，設色精妍，多用青綠，蓋脫胎於北宗之劉、李，變化之跡顯然可尋。當吳派極盛之際，而能兼取南北之長出以己意，獨自成家，宜其作品之見重於後世也。笙波先生其珍藏之，壬辰八月（1952）於老學齋，馬鑑。鈐印：癸未生、季明、馬鑑
