The figure is in overall good condition with just insignificant nicks to the edges. The actual colour of the stone is a tinge less red than the catalogue illustration.

黃玉帶褐斑，圓雕駱駝，四肢伏臥腹下，長頸捲曲倚於背上。線刻毛髮，足蹄清晰可辨。

此器雕琢工藝精湛，刀法嫻熟，打磨精細，造型獨特別緻，五官足爪刻畫細膩，匠心獨運。其獨特造型，屬宋代之典型。

此駱駝臥地曲項，為宋朝玉雕動物常見之造型。此造型繼承了前朝遺風，漢、唐均有所作。尤其腹下之腿及蹄部雕琢，正是漢朝始作之風格。宋朝肖生玉雕，工匠因材施藝，運用玉材天然色澤紋理，尤其巧作頭尾部分，使至更為生動逼真。此類掌中之物，既可於文人書案上用於鎮紙，亦可玩賞。駱駝帶有異域風情，是財富和地位的象徵。宋代紋飾比起唐代更為豐富。北宋繼承了唐代的傳統，向富麗繁密的方向發展，南宋則趨幹精巧秀雅。遼金時受兩宋影響，但也有地方特色，豪放有餘。隋唐宋元時期的肖生玉雕在紋飾上有的相當繁縟。
