釋文:昔年作詩窟,門臨放生池。池蓮四五畝,骨肉偕娛嬉。豈期五十載,詩窟復在前。池蓮日對酒,仍從放生移。放生魚已老,蓮則今無遺(去春移蓮于放生池,其夏池遂無蓮)。恠哉放生蓮,造物于我私。昔年作詩窟,師窟我未知。一咲豈非讖,冥冥已告之。此感夙緣耳,惜值囊空時。安能恐揮霍,吐我胸中奇。花南與水北,樓閣明□善。飽啜粥翁粥,狂唫詩庫詩。餘年亦足樂,何用神仙為。所痛板與真,兼抱鴒原悲。顧影一身子,井臼還雞司。豈無兒與女,一一出世遅。往事共誰語,滄桑觀髩絲。花前勸卮酒,嬌小憐楊枝。囬首五十年,腸斷難為辭。

款識:道光甲辰(一八四四)夏日,余昔年所居之地,名曰「師子窟」。今閒窓蕭爽,漫寫此圖以記,一時之感。雨生湯貽汾并題。鈐印:貽汾丶龍山琴隱、雨生訨畫

題後隔水:(林熊光)五六年前,上海盛氏携其先人杏蓀宫保公遺藏之書畫來遊,頒歸諸同好,而余亦讓得數種,此其壹也。近日讀《愚齋東遊日記》,有於東京文求堂及西京各書肆購買中國古籍千餘種而歸。事於時相去尚未半紀而其遺愛返舶載東來,人事循環,殊堪嘆息。卷簽乃宮保公手跡。甲申(一九四四)中秋八月,朗庵。鈐印:熊光



題跋:
(劉麟生)貞愍氣節雄一世,豈惟詩畫騁三絕。澹墨秀潔宜通神,高風寧為俗士悅。謫居江戶紛覓畫,每逢佳帙惟恐忽。唫情獨佔師子窟,風帆漁唱氣奔發。五十年間三易手,翰墨滄桑雅難說。浩蕩鄉愁戀夕暉,煙波苦憶成嗚咽。辛卯(一九五一)立秋前三日,為道瞻吾兄詩家題,宣閣弟劉麟生。钤印:劉麐生丶宣閣
(范道瞻)湯貞愍公此幀以庚寅(一九五〇)歲得於林朗庵先生家。喜其筆致疏秀,頗寶愛之。盖公與戴文節公同為道、咸間山水巨擘,清初自四王吳惲以降,其風氣頹廢者,両公稍稍振之。而殉節之義烈,又復相類,宜其並為世重也。是秋,伯謹先生省余橫濱,偶見此卷,讚揚備至,故迺求其題跋。又月餘,於先生家見何道州七言聯兩幅,皆入妙品。余固少學道州書,見而愛之,強携其一以歸,函請先生容以他畫相易。不意先生竟慨然以何聯相贈,心甚感之。因思湯貞愍畫卷先生頻加青眼,舉以還報,其庶幾乎。語於先生,先生固辭。爰書顛末送諸先生,以高其義而識不忘。時辛卯(一九五一)十月十九日,書於橫濱山手客邸之西窗。鈐印:行嚴丶范道瞻印
(溥儒)後素之事降及乾、嘉,作者雖有秀潤之氣,而筆恆細弱。戴文節起振救徵,始宗董、巨。湯貞愍清逸俊爽,文翰並茂。況兩公大節峥嶸,昭垂彫史,故其能傳於世,有重於丹青者也。此卷憶其舊居詩窟而作,庸詎知成仁取義,泰山之重,去詩窟霄壤哉。伯謹兄藏此畫,非僅賞其能事,有景行崇賢之意,故表而出之。丙申(一九五六)春三月,西山逸士溥儒拜題。鈐印:心畬丶溥儒
