李虛白生於福建省，是一位詩人及當代畫家，以其從國畫衍生而來的詩意山水畫作聞名於世。李氏曾師從女藝術家及詩人劉蘅（1895-1998年）學習中國古典文學、詩歌以及山水畫。後於1979年移居香港，任《收藏天地》與《龍語》刊物編輯。李氏受龔賢（1618-1689年）等大師影響，筆下山水流露出對大自然及故土中國的關愛之情。他的作品曾於亞洲及北美洲廣泛展出，於波士頓紐英侖藝術協會、香港藝術館及深圳何香凝美術館等機構均有收藏。
