方駿的山水畫作柔和雅緻，色彩豐富自然，令人回想起南宋山水畫的優美風格。藝術家筆下的並非想像的山水，而是回憶中的故土——一個瀕臨消失的江蘇小鎮。畫中小橋流水、松柏參天，青山腳下、白牆黑瓦，雨過天晴後顯得格外清新動人。藝術史學家郎紹君有言曰：方駿之畫「提上古詩词联语， 以求詩画境界的共生。 」1
方駿是同輩最優秀的山水畫家之一，也是南京新文人畫群體的一員。他與南京這一古老文化中心的淵源，還要從1960年代說起，那時他在南京師範學院學習國畫，後於南京藝術學院美術系取得碩士學位。方駿於1943年生於江蘇省。
