拍品資料及來源
In the present works titled Dawn in Rajasthan and Night in Rajasthan, respectively, Arturo Luz draws inspiration from the temples he visited in Rajasthan. He deconstructs the structures and transforms them in his imagination, taking only the essence and purity of buildings' shapes and forms. As per the titles of the works, Arturo Luz conveys the colors that represent ‘dawn’ and ‘night’ inversely in the respective backgrounds. Dawn in Rajasthan and Night in Rajasthan are therefore works that lean towards abstraction, but also are conversely architectural in composition. The landscape alludes to the temples he saw in Rajasthan, while also representing his own state of mind and emotions remembering the grandeur of the temples against the backdrop of the rising and setting sun.
