- huanghuali (Dalbergia odorifera)
凳面椅盤以標準格角榫攢邊，抹頭可見明榫。四框內緣踩邊打眼造軟屜，現用舊蓆是更替品，下裝二根彎帶支承。腳足外圓內方交角起線，上端以雙榫納入座面邊框。鎪出雲紋牙頭的牙條沿邊起線，兩側嵌入腿足，上方齊頭踫座面邊框底部。腿足間有安稜線羅鍋棖以格肩榫相接。

Condition
The stool is in overall good condition with just an approx. 10 cm shallow area of repair to one leg and expected surface wear and bruises to the fragile extremities, especially to the tips of the feet. As typical of Ming furniture, the matting has been periodically replaced.

黃花梨方凳的牙子鎪出玲瓏的雲紋牙頭，其下的羅鍋棖子起稜角，非常醒目。傳世黃花梨凳中的基本式設計為馬蹄足帶羅鍋棖，如此方凳的造型是稀少品種。
黃花梨方凳造型如現例不多見。1948年版的 George N. Kates，《Chinese Household Furniture》， 紐約及倫敦， 1948年， Dover Publications再版，紐約， 1962年。 喬治．凱茨〈中國家居家具〉紐約．倫敦，1948年，多佛爾出版重印，紐約，1962年，圖版91，收錄一具比伯（C F Bieber）藏十分相似的例子。
